Victoria Place loves its pets, and from my experience has the highest percentage of rescue animals! Each one of them has a story to tell.
So let us tell these stories in the COMMENTS below. Just click on the word "Comment" and write the story of your pet, whether it is one or several!
One of them is "Popcorn!" who was hiding in a stormwater runoff grate. Tammy, tell us more.
Not all pet stories are about rescues.
MoJo, my Pembroke Welsh Corgi, was purchased from a Corgi breeder, because after much research, his breed appealed to me. He will soon be 11 years old. I accuse his crippleness in his hind legs is just an attempt to imitate me! We love each other very much, and MoJo can be found near my side.

Popcorn (an orange tabby kitten) was, literally, up a tree, when he was spotted by my dog, Xena. I almost had him by the neck when he bolted back down and ran into the culvert. It was starting to get dark, and very cold, so I returned with food to see if I could coax him out. He was having none of it! I waited around a little while, but he just wouldn't trust me enough.
I spent the next week trying to catch him. The next step was a Humane trap, but he was too clever for that. So one dark night, our neighbor Billie brought out a string, and Popcorn was intrigued enough to play. He finally got close enough that Billie snatched him up.
He is now living large in my home as an indoor cat and will never have to suffer another polar vortex! He has changed our sedate household into chaos.
Jackson was my little sister's dog. They live in Omaha, NE and every time I visited it didn't seem to me like they were treating him right. Not bad, just not as a member of the family. So, when he was 5 and I was driving cross country, I told them "I'm taking Jackson" and I did.
He then lived with my older sister in Sanford NC for next few years where she loved him and hugged him and dressed him up in pretty clothes. Whenever they traveled he stayed with me. The "baby-sitting" time frames got longer and longer. One day I paid a vet bill and realized, he's my family now. LOVE THIS LITTLE GUY! He's almost 14 now and I try to treasure everyday.
